[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam.
[00:00:29] Speaker B: What's up, y'? All? It's your girl, K.B.
[00:00:31] Speaker A: and it's Bracey.
[00:00:32] Speaker B: And welcome back to the Girl Don't Whisper podcast.
[00:00:36] Speaker A: How was your week?
[00:00:37] Speaker B: It's pretty good. I took my mom to the beach this weekend for her birthday. 10 out of 10 had a great experience.
[00:00:42] Speaker A: What about you? But did you try to go out on zero new
[00:00:48] Speaker B: Never out on zero now, but, you know, one time I went on a date. I ain't gonna say he had zero dollars, but one time I went on a date, and when it was time to pay, he was like, you know, he had left his card at home.
[00:01:01] Speaker A: Guess what? He would have been left at the restaurant.
[00:01:05] Speaker B: Now, he did get somebody the apple. Pay him for the money, though. Send him the payment for the pool.
[00:01:11] Speaker A: You know that for sure?
[00:01:13] Speaker B: I don't know. I know I ain't paid for it. That's what I do know.
I do know that. How was your week?
[00:01:19] Speaker A: My week was good.
One time I went out, took a friend out, and we went to Tasty Crowd, and she knows she didn't have the money and her ordered the highest thing on the menu.
You know how mad I was. Tasty crab already. Expensive.
[00:01:40] Speaker B: Exactly. And guess what?
[00:01:41] Speaker A: What?
[00:01:42] Speaker B: Like you said, she would have been in the kitchen.
[00:01:46] Speaker A: That in the end, though, she wanted dessert, too.
[00:01:50] Speaker B: Oh, no. This is your first time going out? Yes.
[00:01:53] Speaker A: It lasts.
[00:01:55] Speaker B: Yeah, she would have been. She would have been scratched off the menu. For sure. She would have been scratched off the menu.
What you think? You think it's okay to go out, bro?
Say if you got like 70 in your account and your friends say y' all going out for girls night. You know, y' all gonna pre game at the house, y' all gonna leave, and then y' all gonna go out to the club at night. $70.
[00:02:23] Speaker A: You can do a good bit.
Club. The club might be anywhere from 20 to 40.
You left with $30 enough for your Waffle House. I ain't gonna charge you gas.
That's enough. But you need to have enough for the rest of.
[00:02:38] Speaker B: Well, that's your whole 70 right there.
[00:02:40] Speaker A: But that's where it comes into. On the play.
[00:02:43] Speaker B: All right.
[00:02:43] Speaker A: Am I gonna stay home and save the $70 that I get paid or I'm gonna go out? If we're in a situation like that, I would actually, you know, do in house.
[00:02:54] Speaker B: You know what I'm gonna do?
[00:02:55] Speaker A: What, leave them?
[00:02:57] Speaker B: No, but I am gonna go out and have me a good time.
[00:03:01] Speaker A: So in other words, you gonna leave me?
[00:03:02] Speaker B: No, we all going. I'm the one with the $70.
My choice.
I'm doing with the $70. I'm about to go out here with my friends. So we bought a ball out with this $70.
[00:03:13] Speaker A: Yeah, somebody gonna be buying the drinks anyway, right?
[00:03:17] Speaker B: So I'll be straight as long as we get us some trays.
Let me get a few. Let me pick me a few off this tray right here for V. I'll go. I already know I ain't got no money either. Okay, I better get a picky.
[00:03:29] Speaker A: If you know you. If you know your fund is limited, are you gonna be confident in going out that night? Like trying to ball out, acting like you got enough? Are you gonna be low key?
[00:03:40] Speaker B: I'm gonna be confident.
[00:03:42] Speaker A: You be confident with your $70?
[00:03:44] Speaker B: Yes, I'm gonna be confident with my $70. Y' all know I only got $70 today.
That's what I'm telling y'. All.
[00:03:52] Speaker A: You expect to want us to say I got you, girl.
[00:03:54] Speaker B: Yeah, I got you on this, girl. You know I got you next time, friend. Got you.
Cause we got your next time, friend. I got your next time. You know I got your next time. But you know I only got $17 tonight. But we still about us. I do a big one for sure.
What about you? What you going to do?
[00:04:12] Speaker A: Yeah, nobody ain't going to know what I got in my pocket.
[00:04:14] Speaker B: You just going to be lowkey. So it don't matter.
[00:04:16] Speaker A: Cuz like I told you, somebody going in a buy or something, so.
[00:04:22] Speaker B: And it don't even matter.
It don't even matter, man.
[00:04:28] Speaker A: When I be down on my time, on my money a little bit.
I had an experience like that before.
[00:04:35] Speaker B: What you do, you still went out or you had to stay home.
[00:04:37] Speaker A: Especially college. I used to call my dad and say, dad, we need to get some groceries for the room. Can you send me some food?
[00:04:46] Speaker B: No, for real though, Every single week in college, college shows us the struggle. I used to text the same about six or seven people and ask them to send me $20 at the same time. At the same time. So eventually it'll add up 100. I won't only have $20 cuz 3 people probably be done send me $20. So I got $60. Technically they only think I got $20 though. So the next we got to do the same thing.
And I just keep racking up for me some money for the week. Hopefully we'll have no party.
[00:05:12] Speaker A: We have time.
[00:05:13] Speaker B: I'm be requesting $30 then from everybody.
[00:05:15] Speaker A: When
[00:05:18] Speaker B: if we have a party that weekend instead of me requesting two request 30.
[00:05:21] Speaker A: You had options, I didn't. This is my man.
[00:05:23] Speaker B: Daddy.
[00:05:24] Speaker A: Ask my mama for about 40. Ask my daddy about 40. Sometimes if I ask for 40, he'll send 60 to 100.
[00:05:31] Speaker B: No, that's right. See? Well, that's still good though. And you know, we always.
[00:05:34] Speaker A: I was lying. I didn't need it for the groceries. I wanted to go party.
[00:05:38] Speaker B: Well, anybody tell you to lie now? But hey, at least we had us a good time or whatever. Whatever you had to say to get it, you got it for us. A good time. So hey, what to do?
Everything gonna be okay. I think people do that though. What now you think they don't be wanting to like miss out like.
Or they just don't want to be tipped. They don't want to tell nobody they don't got no money.
[00:05:58] Speaker A: I think a lot of times when we go out knowing that we limited on funds, you don't want like me personally, when my friends low, I ain't in the best of moves, so.
Well, baby, you think I want to sit in the house and be broke?
[00:06:13] Speaker B: I don't mean no harm.
[00:06:14] Speaker A: What?
[00:06:15] Speaker B: But you already broke, so you might need to stay your ass at home if you already ain't in no good mood either. That's too much. Now you broke some type of way.
[00:06:23] Speaker A: No, stay on.
[00:06:25] Speaker B: You got too much.
You know you got too much today you got. You better come out and fake it till you make it. You should let us know that you are. You already told us you ain't got no money.
Now you can't come out here being a party pooper. And John, you is not the party.
[00:06:39] Speaker A: I'm not gonna be the party pooper though. Cuz I'm gonna be happy I got people around me versus being at home by myself with no money, can't do nothing.
[00:06:49] Speaker B: Anybody get on some TV, watch some YouTube.
[00:06:51] Speaker A: That's why I think that like you say, why people do it. That's why. Because they don't want to be broke and lonely.
[00:06:55] Speaker B: Who?
[00:06:56] Speaker A: You don't want to be broken only.
[00:06:57] Speaker B: Yeah, that is true. But you know, a lot of people broke and lonely.
A lot of people broke on. But also I do feel like that if. If you plan on going out with your friends and stuff. Like I ain't saying always be the one with no money and stuff though.
[00:07:11] Speaker A: No, not always.
[00:07:11] Speaker B: Yeah, like I ain't saying always be the woman on money. But you know, I feel like people fall short sometimes.
[00:07:16] Speaker A: Like we do. We human, right?
[00:07:18] Speaker B: So I feel like it's okay for you to not have some money sometimes, but if you're making this with like every time thing, then I might have
[00:07:25] Speaker A: to watch it get to a point where I ain't even gonna call you no more.
[00:07:27] Speaker B: Okay. I gotta watch you. Hold on.
What you got going on? Where all your money? Especially if you got a job. Oh, what kind of. What you doing? What you doing on your side?
Because it makes you wonder.
Yeah, but you know, maybe they just be wanna, like even though they don't got no money, they wouldn't feel included. I would go out with strangers. See, I, I don't know. But see, we can't say that because people.
[00:07:57] Speaker A: What?
[00:07:57] Speaker B: I said people do be going out with strangers with no money though. That's like dating.
Like, would you date a man with no money?
[00:08:04] Speaker A: Like with zero?
[00:08:06] Speaker B: I ain't saying he got zero dollars, but they say he got like an average nine to five. Like fast food.
Nine to five fast food chick to check type life.
[00:08:17] Speaker A: You already have to do fast food. I, I don't mean to be that type of person, but.
[00:08:22] Speaker B: Oh, you pocket watching.
[00:08:24] Speaker A: I'm not pocket watching.
[00:08:25] Speaker B: Oh, so you don't want to talk to King got no money.
[00:08:28] Speaker A: You said 9 to 5 is on fast food restaurant. I'm sorry, but we passed that stage in our lives.
[00:08:34] Speaker B: So he got a job, is a
[00:08:36] Speaker A: job, but at the end of the day, you're not gonna come home smelling like no fries and the hamburger patties. I don't want to smell the grill.
[00:08:44] Speaker C: You talking about if that man ain't got no money.
[00:08:47] Speaker A: She said working at fast foods.
[00:08:49] Speaker C: No, I'm saying what does it matter where he work, right?
[00:08:52] Speaker B: Like he got.
[00:08:53] Speaker A: I said a job is a job, but still.
[00:08:55] Speaker B: Okay, he got. He work at fast food 9 to 5, living chick to check. That's just his lifestyle.
[00:09:01] Speaker C: Wait, hold on now.
[00:09:02] Speaker A: I'm at age where I have purposes and that's not one of them. You not the man for me.
[00:09:07] Speaker C: What about that is not the man for you?
Like he not living check to check or working at fast food.
[00:09:18] Speaker A: I ain't gonna lie. Sometimes you get in situations where you have to be humble like that.
[00:09:21] Speaker C: But if you could. I asked you a question.
[00:09:24] Speaker A: If you complacent and you happy and content working at McDonald's, that show me you don't got no goals, no ambitions. Well, you want to own the damn McDonald's?
[00:09:32] Speaker C: You what if he want to own McDonald's?
[00:09:35] Speaker A: How many men you know work at McDonald's and want to own it?
[00:09:37] Speaker C: I just said, what if he want to own McDonald's. He don't. So you crushing that man dream.
[00:09:42] Speaker A: He don't want to own it.
[00:09:43] Speaker B: What if he just come from, like, a bad background where he don't know how to. He don't know how to get out there and hustle, or he don't know how to get himself together, or he don't got no goals because he ain't never been pushed that far.
[00:09:54] Speaker A: Like, well, maybe God will send me into that person's life to be the one to help them, you know, elevate.
[00:09:59] Speaker B: So you ain't gonna talk to him.
[00:10:01] Speaker A: But I see if you a person that don't have no.
Like you don't have no dreams, no goals, you just happy with working at McDonald's. We ain't gonna work out.
Sometimes you gotta do what you got to do. But if you satisfied with that, that's all you see yourself doing.
[00:10:17] Speaker B: I ain't gonna lie, though. I ain't talking to nobody that work at no fast food either, though.
[00:10:22] Speaker C: Why not?
[00:10:24] Speaker A: I don't even work.
[00:10:25] Speaker C: But y' all are young enough. Y' all are young enough where. If a guy working fast food, that don't mean that that's what he gonna end at.
[00:10:33] Speaker B: Okay, but we're also older.
[00:10:34] Speaker A: That's what I'm saying. Now, if he working towards something, you know, or trying to do better. Cause I ain't gonna lie.
Trying to. If you. If he's somebody that in school or something, when you in school, you don't have no choice but to work a little simple job like that, I doubt.
[00:10:51] Speaker B: Okay, once again, we're old enough to where you should have already worked your fast food jobs and got that on out of the way. And if you was in school, nine times out of ten, you'd probably be done graduate by now. So if you in school now.
[00:11:05] Speaker C: Not everybody.
[00:11:06] Speaker B: Exactly. Let me finish. If you're in school now and you is doing what you're supposed to do in school, you know, you like. Yeah, I'm going to finish this. And you working at McDonald's. I feel like you could still get, like, a better job than McDonald's.
[00:11:17] Speaker C: Okay, so.
[00:11:18] Speaker B: So I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt. So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
[00:11:21] Speaker C: He working at McDonald's, he working at Applebee's.
[00:11:23] Speaker A: If you bring me home a Sizzler every night, then we good.
[00:11:26] Speaker B: Oh, I don't know.
[00:11:29] Speaker C: Ain't working at McDonald's.
[00:11:31] Speaker B: You gotta have a good reason to still be working at McDonald's, right? Now, I'm sorry.
[00:11:34] Speaker A: I'm not even gonna lie. I can't even say. Basically, I can't even say that I wouldn't date a person that work a job besides McDonald's. Like, imagine somebody who work in retail, they end up being the store manager or general manager. You never know where those type of jobs gonna take you. But you need to be striving towards something.
[00:11:52] Speaker B: That what I'm saying. But if you just. Like she said, if you just comfortable in your position. No, no, I'm saying no.
[00:11:58] Speaker C: You say he can't work at fast food.
[00:12:00] Speaker B: I don't.
[00:12:01] Speaker C: Wait, hold on.
[00:12:01] Speaker B: I'm not going to say he can't, but it got to be a good reason why he is.
[00:12:05] Speaker C: He just there.
[00:12:06] Speaker B: That's. Oh, I'm sorry. I can't be. I can't be with nobody that just working fast food. He's just there. You just there by yourself.
[00:12:12] Speaker C: That man want to be Ronald McDonald
[00:12:13] Speaker A: like he trying to get. You should have chose that another lifetime.
[00:12:17] Speaker C: He want to be the gm.
[00:12:18] Speaker B: I ain't going to lie.
[00:12:19] Speaker C: You know. You know what a McDonald's GM make?
[00:12:21] Speaker B: I wanted the people that if. Like, if you cool with where you at or the stuff that you got going on in your life, I ain't gonna push you. But I know you ain't for me, so I know I'm out of dough.
[00:12:33] Speaker C: You cool with where you are in your life.
[00:12:35] Speaker B: New.
But I'm at my age. But for my age, I'm in a good place in my life.
[00:12:39] Speaker C: But that's what I'm saying. What if that man feel like for his age, he doing good. He. He doing. He's in a spot. He ain't got no bills. He take care. He take care, but he got bills.
[00:12:50] Speaker A: He.
[00:12:50] Speaker C: He take care of himself. He might be living check to check, but he ain't asking you for no money.
[00:12:55] Speaker B: He better have something to give me, too.
[00:12:57] Speaker C: Whoa, whoa, wait a minute. Why?
[00:12:59] Speaker B: Cuz.
[00:13:00] Speaker C: Cuz what?
[00:13:01] Speaker B: That's my man.
[00:13:02] Speaker C: No. You got a job.
[00:13:03] Speaker B: And, And. And when you my. And when you my man, you need to help Big Mama out. With what?
[00:13:09] Speaker C: With what?
[00:13:09] Speaker B: If you can't help Big Mama out.
[00:13:11] Speaker C: No. Big Mama said she Big Mama can
[00:13:12] Speaker B: be by herself like she was what it.
[00:13:14] Speaker C: What then?
[00:13:15] Speaker B: And I got money to spare for you, so you need to have something to spare for me.
[00:13:18] Speaker C: You need to be by yourself then.
[00:13:19] Speaker B: Exactly. That why I'm by myself.
[00:13:21] Speaker C: Exactly. There you go.
[00:13:22] Speaker B: That's why I'm by myself. That's the problem.
[00:13:25] Speaker C: That's the Problem with dating in y' all age range is that right there what we think?
[00:13:32] Speaker B: We think we supposed to get some money.
[00:13:34] Speaker C: 100.
[00:13:35] Speaker B: I mean, I ain't gonna say you got 100. You come on now like I'm out here if I'm not just getting my hair done, getting my nails done, get my toes done. You talking about, let me see.
[00:13:42] Speaker C: Let you see.
[00:13:44] Speaker B: Like you ain't about to see these nails and these toes.
[00:13:46] Speaker C: Let me see.
[00:13:47] Speaker B: Let me see. I'm seeing what you are seeing when you see me.
[00:13:49] Speaker C: Okay, so then what do you need?
[00:13:51] Speaker A: You can't see him no pictures of your nails and toes and hair. Why you even allow him to see you after you get it done?
[00:13:57] Speaker B: Because you know, I'm probably going over there.
[00:13:59] Speaker A: For what?
[00:14:00] Speaker B: The Boom Boom Room.
[00:14:03] Speaker C: If you ain't paying,
[00:14:07] Speaker B: why are you going to the Boom Boom Room? Because that's what I want to do. I want to go to the Boom Boom Room. So I'm going to the Boom Boom Room. But I'm not about to go out of my way to show you my nails and toes just because you say, let me see. No.
And nine times out of 10, I probably was talking trash to him before I made it to the Boom Boom Room and after. But it's okay, because I know I'm coming here for.
And I'm going after that, you know.
[00:14:28] Speaker A: So you're going to get maintenance?
[00:14:30] Speaker B: Yeah, just a little tuna, you know, get a little tutu, maybe a little alignment, oil change, you know. You know how I go, you know.
[00:14:41] Speaker C: So he don't need. He don't need money for an alignment.
[00:14:44] Speaker B: He do what? I ain't trying to say.
[00:14:47] Speaker C: I'm just saying, like, you do need
[00:14:48] Speaker B: some money for the alignment, but we gonna be realistic here. Sometimes you just need that little one, too. And you're gonna go get that little one.
[00:14:55] Speaker C: You know what they said? You know, they said the best man to give you that one, too.
[00:14:59] Speaker B: Yo, I ain't messing with no broke. I'm telling you now.
[00:15:01] Speaker C: No, they say the best one.
[00:15:03] Speaker B: They said the best, you know, a little one tooth in the puss.
[00:15:08] Speaker C: They said the one to give the best ones for the 12 is them. Them couch surfers.
[00:15:12] Speaker A: That is true.
[00:15:14] Speaker B: You know why, though, cuz? That's why. That's all they got to offer, what they call the couch surfer.
[00:15:20] Speaker A: Because they don't have nothing to do but time to practice. That's it. They don't work, they don't got.
[00:15:24] Speaker B: That's all they got to offer. Is that so it Be like that sometime, though. Like you think. But, you know, you think it's okay for a man to be broke?
[00:15:38] Speaker A: Like, it ain't okay for nobody to be broke.
[00:15:41] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:15:41] Speaker A: If you have ability to work.
[00:15:43] Speaker B: Exactly. It ain't okay for nobody to be broke. But I'm saying, like, you in a relationship, you and your man, like, you think it's okay for your man, like, just completely broke. Like, I ain't gonna say he got zero dollars, but he can't help you with that. He can't do nothing.
[00:15:57] Speaker C: Is his bills paid?
[00:15:59] Speaker B: No. Cause they ours.
[00:16:01] Speaker C: No, no, no, no, no. Is his bills paid?
[00:16:03] Speaker B: No, cuz they ours.
[00:16:04] Speaker A: No. How's it ours, though? Like, if y'. All Are y' all in two different houses?
[00:16:09] Speaker B: No, we staying together.
[00:16:10] Speaker C: Okay, that's different.
[00:16:11] Speaker B: And this my man. We going together.
[00:16:13] Speaker A: I feel like, me personally, I feel like if the man handling all the bills and he don't have no money left, then okay, that's fine, cuz I'm not using any of my income for the bills. You the only one paying the bills, so that would mean. But the bills taking most of your income.
[00:16:27] Speaker B: But he broke, so he don't even got enough money to pay all the bills, which.
[00:16:30] Speaker C: No, that's.
[00:16:31] Speaker A: The bills pay.
[00:16:32] Speaker C: That's. There's a difference. Yeah, there's a difference. If it's broke and I got no money, it's two different things.
[00:16:39] Speaker B: I could be. We're talking about broke. This can't even pay the bills.
[00:16:42] Speaker C: No. Then that's different.
[00:16:43] Speaker A: My bill.
[00:16:44] Speaker C: That's different.
[00:16:44] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:16:45] Speaker A: I'll be broke too long.
[00:16:45] Speaker B: My bill pays, cuz. I guess one thing about me, I'm still. Find me some fun to do.
[00:16:48] Speaker A: I will enjoy my rent.
[00:16:51] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:16:51] Speaker C: Listen, let me tell you something.
The rent paid, all the bills paid, you might not have no extra bread,
[00:16:58] Speaker A: but you got gross.
[00:16:59] Speaker C: You might have no money for the champagne fund, but you good.
And some guys are just. They good. They ain't got no money.
They ain't broke. They broke, but they ain't got no money.
And that's why I look they and I look at ain't got no money, as they don't have no money for the champagne account.
[00:17:19] Speaker B: Okay, that's cool then. See, I ain't trying to say we can't have hard times, because we can. But if you just.
[00:17:23] Speaker C: That's a hard time. Or is that life?
[00:17:26] Speaker B: No. Cause you. You can always come back.
[00:17:28] Speaker A: Like, just.
[00:17:29] Speaker B: Cause you paying your bills and you ain't got no money after you pay your bills. That's not gonna be a everyday thing like you can. You probably can work, go to work overtime this week or something, you know,
[00:17:37] Speaker A: like get your money back.
[00:17:38] Speaker B: Once you real. Once you get the flow of things and you be like, okay, I can't keep living like this. Like every time I pay the bills. I'm ain't got no damn money.
[00:17:44] Speaker C: Yeah, well, you need a second job if that's the. Well, first off, you need a first job that pay you enough.
[00:17:49] Speaker B: Yeah, but you know one thing about me, you don't think about that.
[00:17:52] Speaker C: Also, I will say it's easy for people who don't got bills to talk about people who do got bills.
[00:17:58] Speaker B: Yeah, that's true.
[00:18:00] Speaker C: Real bills that ring.
[00:18:02] Speaker A: I ain't talking about no phone bill.
[00:18:03] Speaker C: No, no, a phone bill ain't a real bill. No, a car note ain't a real bill.
[00:18:08] Speaker A: Rent, right bill. Water, groceries.
[00:18:12] Speaker C: Water groceries. Them's reals bills, I ain't gonna lie.
[00:18:18] Speaker A: Car insurance, now that's a real bill, know.
[00:18:21] Speaker C: Oh, no, no. Renters insurance. That's a real bill.
[00:18:24] Speaker A: Oh, y know, I don't use no renters insurance.
[00:18:28] Speaker C: Let some happen at your crib. You going to use that renters insurance?
[00:18:31] Speaker B: Yeah, you know, happen at your crib.
[00:18:34] Speaker A: No, it's so crazy. They got assigned up.
You ever had a repossession experience?
[00:18:42] Speaker B: Hell no. They ain't trying to eat.
[00:18:44] Speaker A: I don't want no repossession experience or no eviction experience.
[00:18:47] Speaker B: You know, I don't play with my little car. That's one thing I want. Make sure I stay on top.
I move too fast.
I move too fast, you hear me?
[00:18:55] Speaker A: I don't even like for my car to get told it like, dang, am I going to see it again?
[00:19:00] Speaker B: Should I? Better. And it should better not be 350 toes. Expensive, bro.
[00:19:06] Speaker A: They is.
[00:19:07] Speaker B: And that's something that make you a break it at night too. A toe. A toe make you a break it, bro, when you go pick your car, they hit you with that four, that 400 bill.
Damn, that would I give her going out. $70.
Exactly.
[00:19:23] Speaker A: Not only that, speaking of repossessions, you out every weekend and they even pay your car payment.
[00:19:29] Speaker B: I ain't gonna lie. Don't know. But what if they just told you because you was in the wrong spot, you had to pay that much?
[00:19:33] Speaker A: No, I'm not talking about a toe. I'm talking about a repo.
[00:19:36] Speaker B: Well, if I ain't getting my repo, then I ain't nothing.
[00:19:39] Speaker A: But guess what they was doing going out, bro?
[00:19:43] Speaker B: It'd be like that. But you know, one time when I had went to the beach, though, my car had got a boot on it.
Like, I had parking one of those little parking. I parking one of those little parking spots.
[00:19:53] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:19:54] Speaker B: And I didn't pay for it, but I didn't. Girl, you have to pay for them, y'. All. At a time, you know, I'm a little slow without the common. So at the time it wasn't nobody up there. So I'm just thinking like, oh, you know, maybe when I come back I can just pay for it. Like, maybe the man will be up here now. Just. I could just pay for it then. And then the people that was with me, I ain't going to lie, they didn't pay for it either. So you know me, I'm like, they ain't pay for.
Yes. And my homegirl was so mad.
[00:20:17] Speaker A: Oh y'.
[00:20:18] Speaker B: All. That the skirted off her boot on her car.
No, she came back. But she was mad as. But yes, like. And I was so upset, like, I had no money.
[00:20:28] Speaker A: How much you had to pay to get it?
[00:20:29] Speaker B: I think it was like 180, maybe a 280 or something like that to get a boot off. And all they had to do was send me a couple cold.
They had to send me a call for me to take the boot off, bro. That's it. I still wouldn't even go see the people once I pay for it. I still wouldn't even see the people like. And y' all trying to jump me a $280 for y' all to send me a code. This cannot be real.
[00:20:49] Speaker A: That why I got park mobile. You just upload it from your phone.
[00:20:53] Speaker B: This. That can't be real, bro. But. And guess what?
During that time I was broken outside.
[00:21:01] Speaker A: Broken outside.
[00:21:02] Speaker B: I ain't had no
[00:21:05] Speaker C: negative.
[00:21:05] Speaker A: So how many people you you text
[00:21:07] Speaker B: that day for that? 180 a lot. But I have a homegirl with me and she did a good. She did a good, good work too. She did a good work though, because we got that joint. We had got that joint together.
[00:21:17] Speaker A: 360.
[00:21:18] Speaker B: What?
[00:21:19] Speaker A: So imagine how many other cars they done got for it. I'm about to start me a boot business.
[00:21:24] Speaker B: No, don't be like that. For sure.
Mad. I was mad.
[00:21:29] Speaker A: I was mad af whoever the boot person is, the company, they made 360 off of you and your homegirl.
[00:21:36] Speaker B: Yeah. And they own. I'm pretty sure they went there just they probably had hired some workers so that you still won't even. We Won't even know it was you. The company I'm going to start. But I'm on that ass. Like, why don't I'm about to be
[00:21:46] Speaker A: like that man that be right around hookah new.
[00:21:50] Speaker B: He shouldn't even have a job.
[00:21:51] Speaker A: Ski.
He own a business.
[00:21:55] Speaker B: I know he got a lot of money too, for he pick up anything. Anything. He.
[00:22:00] Speaker A: Wait, do they still do that? Wait, do he still be throwing people cars?
[00:22:05] Speaker B: I don't know, but I hope not if he do.
Okay, Look,
[00:22:17] Speaker A: you ever had a.
[00:22:21] Speaker B: So look, what would you consider a cheap day?
[00:22:28] Speaker A: A cheap date. Are you saying like he did this because it was cheap? Are you saying like, no, like cheap,
[00:22:35] Speaker B: but you know, like y' all just like you always say, you always be. Like, sometimes you and your man got to work together. Sometimes you and your man gotta work together.
[00:22:42] Speaker A: Oh, a cheap day.
[00:22:43] Speaker B: So say if like I was like, we're gonna do date night tonight. But you know we ain't got that much money, so. But we still gonna have us a good time.
[00:22:50] Speaker A: Two options.
We can cook at home, have game night, something like that. Or we can go out to Longhorn and go home and do other stuff.
[00:23:04] Speaker B: Painting Longhorn kind of expensive, though.
[00:23:09] Speaker A: No, doctor said Longhorn as a cheap date. You can get two meals for 45 to 60 dollars.
[00:23:16] Speaker B: Half of two meals and get a ten to get us a ten dollar meal.
[00:23:21] Speaker C: What restaurant you going to that 60 dollars is high for a two person meal.
[00:23:27] Speaker B: Once again, it's just me.
[00:23:30] Speaker C: No, but you're saying two people like you made a statement.
[00:23:34] Speaker B: But I don't know, because I eat Longhorn a lot though. But I still feel like if it was to be me and somebody else, it would be high.
[00:23:40] Speaker A: No. Cause we got liquor at home. Ain't getting no drinks when you in the restaurant. Water.
[00:23:45] Speaker B: See?
No, I need me a little strawberry Mar.
[00:23:50] Speaker A: No, that's why we have the liquor at home. At least we want to take a couple shots in the car before we go in there.
[00:23:55] Speaker B: As you should.
But see, that's kind of considered thoughtful too. Or would you just. What would you consider a thoughtful date?
[00:24:02] Speaker A: Oh, a picnic or doing something that you been hearing me talk about for a while that's not expensive, like going to a movie. I don't think the movies are expensive.
[00:24:17] Speaker B: Yeah, they're not. Especially if you go to Julia.
Julia. Definitely not.
[00:24:23] Speaker A: You get your I remember Julia used to be photo.
[00:24:25] Speaker B: Yeah, she used to get. And then you used to get the popcorn. The kitty popcorn box with the candy in it. And guess what? She Used to do. Yeah.
[00:24:31] Speaker A: I'm gonna take you to the movies on Sunday.
[00:24:34] Speaker B: Why Sunday?
You cheat.
[00:24:36] Speaker A: But ain't right.
[00:24:38] Speaker B: It's cheap, man.
But you know what else though I would consider thoughtful too?
[00:24:42] Speaker A: What?
[00:24:43] Speaker B: Like see angle I like to go sit at the top of the car garage.
So I feel like us sitting in the car at the top of the car garage at night time. We're like when the sun's coming down or something like that.
[00:24:54] Speaker A: Speaking of that, another thing that is thoughtful too. What is car rides.
[00:25:00] Speaker B: Yeah. With some good tunes. Some R and B tunes.
[00:25:03] Speaker A: Or imagine like if we lived in Charlotte. I love going riding at night in Charlotte.
[00:25:09] Speaker B: Yeah, me too.
Charlotte just has night. Very, very nice scenery.
[00:25:14] Speaker A: It has what?
[00:25:15] Speaker B: Very, very nice scenery.
[00:25:17] Speaker A: Oh yeah.
[00:25:17] Speaker B: Like the stuff that you see.
[00:25:20] Speaker A: Especially if you're near the spectrum center.
[00:25:22] Speaker B: Okay, so look, so I'm gonna ask you a scenario and you go tell me if it's broke or if it's bold, okay? Okay.
[00:25:31] Speaker A: Eat me.
[00:25:34] Speaker B: Oh, going to dinner and forgetting your wallet. Remember I told you that earlier? Both.
[00:25:40] Speaker A: Cuz you ain't forgot it. You know, it probably in your pocket just say empty with lint.
You just got it for ID purposes, right?
[00:25:49] Speaker B: You need to show your id, right?
Asking.
Asking somebody like, you got me before we even sit down at the table.
[00:25:59] Speaker A: That's bold. Cause you could have stayed your ass at home.
I got you.
[00:26:03] Speaker B: You okay?
[00:26:04] Speaker A: Do I got you?
[00:26:05] Speaker B: You okay?
[00:26:09] Speaker A: I thought you're saying like if a
[00:26:11] Speaker B: man do that, I sound like anybody, like your friend a man.
[00:26:15] Speaker A: Oh no, because nine times out of ten we go discuss it before we even go.
[00:26:19] Speaker B: No, you ain't new though. That why they say you got me before we even sat on it too. You ain't new.
[00:26:24] Speaker A: I don't even know if I got me. Barely.
[00:26:27] Speaker B: Okay, what about pulling up to the club knowing you can't get in?
[00:26:33] Speaker A: I done told you that's bold. They go parking lot, pimp.
[00:26:36] Speaker B: They go parking lot. No, that's just broke then, because that, that made you no major cool because you knew you gonna parking lot, pimp
[00:26:43] Speaker A: could have stayed at home.
[00:26:58] Speaker B: I don't think I got another one.
[00:27:00] Speaker A: You know one thing for that wallet trick though, with that wallet, they left their wallet. We go order drinks and I'mma say you don't need to see ID because if you pull that wallet out for that id, you ain't left your wallet at home.
[00:27:15] Speaker B: But they probably not going to pull it out because, well, they already probably
[00:27:19] Speaker A: thinking about all the possibilities, ain't it?
[00:27:22] Speaker B: Right?
[00:27:22] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:27:23] Speaker B: So they probably just gonna have it already out or something and just digging their pocket and pull the idea out or something like that.
All right. It's not about.
It's not about being broke, but it's how you move. Like, when you are considered broke.
[00:27:39] Speaker A: It's about the principle.
[00:27:42] Speaker B: Yeah.
Would you go out with no money?
Be honest. Would y' all go out with no money? Be honest.
[00:27:48] Speaker A: I have a lot of times. And don't say it with your chest. You ain't got no money.
[00:27:52] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:27:52] Speaker A: Girl, don't whisper that truth.
[00:27:54] Speaker B: All your voice is. Say it with your chest. Girl, don't whisper.
